Avinash was very late for his date, he haphazardly changed himself into a presentable outfit, sprayed a lot of perfume to make up for his lack of shower and darted out to catch the bus. He got on the first bus that would take him towards his destination, and he was not worried if the bus was empty or not. When he got on the bus, he took out his phone and tried to convince his date to not leave, and while on his phone he saw a person dressed in all black clothing with a black cap, locking eyes with him. Avinash was terrified by the visible anger and annoyance on the guy’s face, which felt directed at him. That was when he realised that the bus was crowded and Avinash was basically stuck, as the bus was about to stop at the next stop, and he almost pushed the sea of people to get off the bus. It was not his destination but he had to save himself. He got down and started walking a bit faster. Avinash glanced behind him, and saw the same man following him, he increased his pace at which point he was almost running. As he ran now, he heard the faster following footsteps, he took a turn and hid behind a wall. The man ran and stopped right beside him, and then looked at him directly, “You are Avinash Sen, right?”, asked the almost 6 foot man, making the fairly average height of Avinash look really small. “Ye-yes”, answered in a shaking voice. “I am the brother of Sushmita, the girl that you ghosted for almost an hour.” said the man in a towering voice. “Sir, I am really sorry, I was just texting her that I was almost there and I will meet her soon. I was just going to meet her, I am really sorry I won’t.” “Na na, dada, I am her younger brother, and she asked me to check on you and help to come to the place, she gave me your address to get there and bring you. She is a bit of a pain. I actually had a date myself, and I had to miss it for you, that is probably why I seem pissed. Anyhow, come let’s walk, the cafe is very near by.” Avinash understood the situation, and also decided to not have a second date with this girl, who had randomly sent her brother to ‘bring him’. He was weirded out by the unconventionality of the situation, and since then referred this story to his friends as the ‘Date Threat’.
